We used the actual weather report in a newspaper, targeting young and urban population, and replaced the usual icons describing weather with images of VW Bettle Cabrio in a manner that would perfectly describe the weather for the following day. An image of a yellow VW Beetle Cabrio with the roof down stood for sunny weather and an image of a blue car with the roof up stood for rainy weather.
Outcome
The idea of VW Beetle Weather Report created an unexpected yet amusing way of different media useage, causing much appreciation amongst the target audience and creating great response.
