Description

Each network created their own original content involving Wonder Woman.

Conan Remote: Keeping up with Wonder Woman requires peak conditioning, martial arts expertise, and unshakeable resolve (which Gal Gadot learned from years training in the Israeli army). Unfortunately for Conan, he doesn’t have any of those. Nevertheless, the late night host attempted to go toe to toe with Gal.

Robot Chicken: real Wonder Woman fans know that her bracelets serve as defense against attacks, however do fans know their true power is to deflect uncomfortable situations? The Robot Chicken team created a custom stop-motion animation, featuring VO from film talent Chris Pine.

truTV Inside Hacks: Hack My Life showed viewers a powerful new hack – how to bag a burglar with a makeshift Lasso Of Truth.

Power Player Spotlight: an in-game enhancement that highlights noteworthy players.

TNT: a special preview during the second season of Animal Kingdom.

Execution

This world-wide release had endless demands for press, publicity, and pre-release promotion, thus limiting talent availability. The challenge: Work efficiently to create original content given the limited time with talent (one Conan shoot with Gal, one VO session with Chris Pine).

Two weeks pre-release: sponsored segments began running on TNT during the highly watched NBA Conference Finals, and as customized promos for the new season premiere of Animal Kingdom.

Final week pre-release: Custom brand content aired on TBS (CONAN), Adult Swim (Robot Chicken) and truTV (Inside Hacks). These were anchored in-show and ran 10 additional times in prime rotation. Total On-Air promotional impressions reached 64.6M viewers across all five networks.

Digital/Social amplification final week pre-release: the Conan Wonder Woman video was posted to CONAN’s YouTube, Facebook, and TeamCoco.com channels. Four additional content posts included Behind the Scenes on FB and YouTube, and two ICYMI on FB.

Outcome

Our partnership with Warner Bros created an enormous, cross-divisional social video campaign across Adult Swim, truTV, TBS, and TNT. The world’s most famous female superhero powered her way to a $100M opening weekend! The cross-platform content campaign highlighted key positioning themes of power, courage, wisdom and wonder, reaching 64.6M fans across our portfolio.
