Execution

The concept was to find the perfect embodiment of the energetic, fully-charged Yaris Hybrid. This was the casting brief. We wanted a personality to capture the vehicles nimble, dynamic, exciting performance.

We originally cast a Wild Gazelle, then... Sonic the Hedgehog (but he was busy making a film with Jim Carrey) Just at this pivotal moment, Katelyn Ohashi’s Perfect 10 routine went viral, a cultural phenomenon overnight! And we saw an opportunity in her joyful energetic spirit and persona, to align her positive values with the positive energy of the new Yaris Hybrid.
