Description

78 percent of elected officials in the U.S. are men, and some of these men don’t have realistic views of women. To show this, we turned politicians’ quotes into short films to highlight the absurdity and danger of allowing these views to go unchallenged. We ended each film with a sobering reminder: When women don’t run for office or vote, these are the people who write the rules for them.

Execution

The films were hosted and promoted across IGNITE’s social platforms (Facebook, website, and YouTube), targeting every woman in America, especially ones between 18 and 35 years old.

Outcome

Ignite is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations to reach, prepare and inspire women to become the next generation of female leaders. Therefore, the success of its campaigns is connected to how much money we can raise.

At this moment, we had a 10% increase in new individual donors and a 200% of increase on single-donors donations over last year, allowing Ignite to double the number of young women we serve, training 5,000+ women in 35 cities across the country.

Early signs of the campaign indicate that addressing the politically misinformed has the potential to unite party lines and is galvanizing support from both sides: republican and democrat. The real performance is determined by the United States’ November midterm election.
