Visit Xboxcup.com for a world first – ‘real people’ playing computer game football stars in the World Cup. To broaden the reach of Xbox 360, we gave a world of football fans and gamers the chance to win a trip to Berlin to compete in the Xbox Cup and win tickets to a real World Cup quarter final. A ‘toolkit’ of advertising went to 32 markets and a new stadium was built next to Berlin’s Olympic Stadium to host the event. It’s sitting on sofas, in a real football stadium, playing Xbox with a crowd of thousands watching. ‘Game meets World’? We think so.
