We all know how stressful it can be to pitch a new idea.
So we took the flip chart –the icon of corporate boredom- and turned it into a tool to pitch an idea in a fun and humoristic way.
Using the opacity of the rosters, the flip chart was filled with subliminal messages to influence prospects. In a very subtle way, people in the presentation could read encouraging oneliners like ‘LOVE IT!’, ‘AWESOME’ or ‘THIS IS IT!’.
Execution
At first sight, the flip charts look perfectly normal.
But when you look closer, you will see subliminal messages,
that are created by slightly adapting the opacity of the rosters.
Every flip chart contains 3 different, optimistic oneliners.
The Subliminal Flip Charts were handed out to young entrepreneurs who recently opened their business in Antwerp.
Outcome
The first stock was handed out within 1 week.
The Subliminal Flipchart is now being reprinted for the 3rd time.
In early 2017, 21% more start-ups settled in Antwerp.
Strategy
In order to attract new business to the city, the Antwerp city council wants new start-ups to feel at home. That’s why they want to support young entrepreneurs in every possible way.
Synopsis
Antwerp is Belgium’s second largest city. The Antwerp harbor makes the city the economical heart of the region. The city has a rich cultural and economic history, and has creativity in its roots. Today, Antwerp is a world player in fashion and creative economy. As a natural competitor of Amsterdam, the city is actively seeking new creative businesses to come to Antwerp.
