Dreading high roaming charges, people usually turn off their cellular data feature and look for free wi-fi spots when they go abroad.

We wanted to show that free wi-fi spots may pop-up in the most unexpected and unwelcome places, and thus led them to Vodafone's inexpensive Roaming service

For this film, it was paramount that we found actors that were not only good, but also understood the minimalistic approach we took with the stories. They had to be able to convey their emotions, thoughts their characters were going through with the tiniest movements. Furthermore, the stereotypical – almost caricature-like - look we imagined for the characters needed to be authentic. Since resorting to make-up and prosthetics would take away from the feeling of the film, we had to find casts that looked the part in real life, which was difficult in itself.

Once we started to cast for roles, nothing short of the complete package would do, so it took us 2 weeks to complete all casting. It was so crucial to get the right people, so much so that we had to postpone the shoot for 6 days for one of the actors. Not only that but also we’ve included their input for direction for the desired minimal acting.

We worked both with multinational talent and real people to maximize the authenticity of the films, going as far as casting real dancers and a waiter for one of them. Additionally, each film had to have a uniformity within the ensemble to keep the authentic feel – the cast needed to fit perfectly with the story as well as with each other.

In this ensemble cast, we believe we’ve found all we’ve sought and achieved a real, believable mise-en-scene with our actors.
