The global ABSOLUT Blank campaign offers artists a blank canvas in the shape of an ABSOLUT bottle to express and show their creativity. The objective was to celebrate the campaign idea ‘It all starts with an ABSOLUT blank’ locally and make it relevant amongst Berlin’s art interested inhabitants. Whilst upholding the creative standard of the campaign within the chosen forms of expression. The chosen site was a 280sqm billboard on Alexanderplatz, based in the centre of Berlin. The Alexanderplatz is one oft he city’s main junctions, frequented by up to 250.000 people every day. The solution was the ABSOLUT Art Stream, a three-week projection of a wide variety of different art work, that was curated by art platform MADE. A daily display of different projections, ranging from animations and art films to live performances and surreal works, was cast onto the bottle shaped canvas by three industrial projectors.
