Lovebites is a totally different kind of TV show. Not sixty minutes long, not thirty, but two… 65 two-minute sitcoms that runs in the wasted space between regular programs. In addition to the running in TBS’ prime slot all episodes also run on the Sunsilk website, including special ‘too hot for TV’ episodes.
Outcome
Lovebites’ Nielsen rating peaked at the same high levels as Sex and the City. TBS was so impressed by its ability to hold the audience between shows, they’ve signed on for a second season. Clients are bidding to license season two. And the franchise is extending into versions for the Hispanic and African-American markets.
