The only material that Audi Japan could use for the Audi TT launch campaign was the TVC with an outrageous concept provided from Germany. We wondered how to maximize the launch impact of the TT in Japan using this TVC.

In order to maximize the launch impact of the new Audi TT in Japan, we challenged ourselves with an audacious plan.? Our challenge was to re-create the actual landing scenes in Japan, using the World Heritage Hieizan Enyakuji temple, unique sand dune national park, and an iconic building of metropolitan Tokyo.

In order to maximize the launch impact of the new Audi TT model, we challenged ourselves with a reckless plan. The challenge to make a full use of the ambient advertisement, and re-create the actual landing scene for the TVC, which has been aired around the world. Not just at any landing place, but at the World Heritage site Hieizan Enyakuji.

This ambient media advertisement made headlines not as an advertisement, but as an “incident.”

“Project 1: THE PREQUEL”

We have created a scene in which the Audi TT suddenly appears in space from the future right before it lands on earth, as shown in the original TVC.

“Project 2: TVC ON AIR”

The TVC that was aired around the world. We have aired an ambitious TVC showing the Audi TT transcending time and space, and arriving from space to earth as the most futuristic car in Audi history.

“Project 3: Landing in Kyoto, Japan”

We have realized a media collaboration with the world heritage site, Hieizan Enryakuji temple, for the first time since it was established in 788.

“Project 4: Appearing in The Sand Dunes”

The cocoon from outer space also teleported to the sand dunes of Tottori, a national natural monument.

“Project 5: Landing in Ginza, Tokyo”

A 30m long runway was built in bustling Ginza, Tokyo.
