Description

Redesign the entire family of the most important Portuguese language dictionary.

Execution

Research old documents from author’s family collection to identify old writings, pictures and elements that links the author’s biography and personality and attract students and people to discover his history while consulting the meaning of words. A font was designed based on the author’s original writings.

Outcome

- The entire dictionary family line and brand was redesigned, including a golden version sent to important Portuguese language personalities and writers in Brazil.- The new graphic project saved printed paper even including more word entries.Legibility and readability were improved impacting in learning and usability.- The 100 years edition is being adopted in new schools in Brazil, preserving history and gaining market share for the client.- The font file can be downloaded at www.aureliopositivo.com.br as a free-font for use in classroom activities and research purposes about the author.
