Description
In this scenic Christmas tale, we meet a wise man on his journey through the desert, guided only by a shining star.
Struggling on his not-so-helpful camel, he is eager to arrive in Bethlehem on time.
Execution
An interactive website was obviously the best place for an immersive experience, to let people interact and spread it to their contacts.
The proposed interactions are directly inspired by the “useless web” model: all those little pointless webpages specially devoted to procrastination.
The experience was thought as a sample of CANAL+ off-the-wall spirit and also completed by little wacky tutorials performed by l’Oeil de Links, the show dedicated to web creativity on the channel
Outcome
With absolutely no media investment, the page reached more than 50,000 unique visitors in one day and had reached more than 200,000 visits by mid January.
It was also relayed by a huge amount of specialized but also mainstream media. It was also site of the day on the prestigious FWA.
People were touched and seduced by the creativity and the humour of this pure and simple moment of happiness to start the year on a joyful note.
