Description
One night in December, a home was transformed into a large interactive holiday-themed playground for visitors. Echo, a black cylindrical-shaped voice-controlled speaker, was placed in a fixture on the sidewalk in front of the house and hooked up to lights and other surprises around the yard. Anyone walking the street could stop and follow instructions on a menu to turn on and off various things. Some requests were small and simple, like turning on the house lights and others were large and magical such as “Turn on the Winter Wonderland” which would activate several snow machines to make it snow on the snowless streets of Seattle. As the evening progressed, there are expressions of awe and joy as guests delight in the spectacles brought to life by Echo.
