To celebrate the fact that it was originally launched as a Christmasbeer, Stella Artois created a uniquely personalised greeting in the form of ‘Christmas Carole’.
Carole, played by the actress Alice Eve, could be sent just by entering a friend's name and address. She then arrived virtually at their front door for a special musical performance.
The experience used a never-before attempted combination of Google Street View, Google Maps, Google Places, and Google's Directions and Geocoding APIs. Video was composited in real time, and every image was dynamically colour graded to match the Stella Artois brand world.
