Execution
The strategy was to enable people who are not even in Cracow, but thousands of kilometres away, to experience the beauty of Cracow live. This thanks to the use of a giant Joystick and a screen. People could with the help of the Joystick control an actual person with a camera in Cracow in real time. This with the help of internet and WiFi technology.
Outcome
Vienna served as the first city to offer the installation, where during 6 days over 600 “virtual” tourists had the exclusive experience to visit Cracow. This attracted coverage from Austrian national television, as well as their largest daily newspaper. Madrid was next stop for the Joystick and then Berlin. But the Joystick’s world tour has only just begun.
