Description

'Coke-Creative-Studio’ was part of Coke’s ‘Discover-New-Look’ TV, Cinema and internet campaign produced by us to introduce Coca-Cola’s new visual identity. Users were offered the opportunity to create their own Coca-Cola commercial for a competition, using our advanced real-time video-edit plug-in (‘Videoflux’) in Internet Explorer. This contest was promoted to a young target audience on MTV.Within 3 weeks, 45000 viewers participated. From the submissions, the best were filtered down to 8 via online voting. These winners were invited to a workshop with Dutch video artist Micha Klein, who offered technical tips on using ‘Videoflux’ along with extra footage to refine their edits. The workshop was filmed and televised on MTV. Once a winner was chosen, their commercial -rendered at high resolution and without modifications- aired for one week on all Dutch TV channels announcing their name, city and age.What made this project unique was the seamless translation between internet and TV-media. Low-resolution online visuals were replaced by high-resolution TV-quality imaging. The creative use of textures and effects in ‘Videoflux’ offered users the unique opportunity to interact with the brand, and create their own 30 sec. Coca-Cola commercial.
