ReCommerce, or second hand shopping, has become massively popular. However, shopping second hand is a struggle. Communicating with another human being can be an excruciating ordeal. Discussing a price. Trying to agree on a time to meet. Just ... understanding each other. It's hard work.

Last year Norways largest second hand online marketplace found a solution. Making second hand purchases very similar to normal online shopping. You click a button to buy. You get it by mail. No discussions needed. They called it "Fiks ferdig", roughly translating to "Fixed it" in english.

The brief was to promote this new service.

The objective was to achieve 600 000 transactions in the first year of launch. Norway has 6 million inhabitants.

Two people try to organize a second hand purchase. We follow them through miscommunications, arguing about prices and failing to make appointments. Because communication is difficult. Fortunately you can finally buy second hand without communicating at all! Try "Fixed it".

Launching this “Fixed it” advertising campaign resulted in a 12 % traffic growth in 2022, at FINN torget, which is significant for a player that already has a high volume.

We had a goal of 600.000 “Fiks ferdig” transactions, but ended up with 745.000. The peak in growth corresponds to the advertising campaign.

(The total number of transactions on FINN increased by 7,6 % (equivalent to 441,000 transactions) in 2022, compared to 2021).

We also reached brand new users and users who have not been active for over a year.

Another strong result is “top of mind” for “Fiks ferdig”, which ended at 66 %.

Before the campaign started, it was “only” 40 %, which means we had a 65 % growth in “Top of mind”

The digital marketing campaign material also generated 912.000 visits to FINN.nos website, which is almost double of what we expected.
