This film is a re-telling of the biblical story of David and Goliath. One of history's most infamous underdogs wakes up after a night on the ales to a hangover and to be informed he’s offended “the giant” and now has to face the consequences. With an angry Goliath at the door and his roommates seemingly unconcerned he turns to Lucozade Energy for the energy and confidence he needs. After a quick swig, a blast of orange light and a clap of thunder he feels ready for battle. He calls out for his spear only to find out that his roommate Maceo broke it. Maceo offers David a sling and well, we all know what happened next.

Casting began with a huge search for great unknown young comedy actors. They had to, especially David, feel like underdogs/nerds and be likeable for the story to work. Because it was a dialogue comedy piece the casting and interaction between the cast was key to making the script work well. For these guys this was one of their first commercials, James (David) hadn’t worked at all as an actor since he was 14 and had no agent. Credit to the casting agent who remembered him from a casting 8 years before.

Our casting for Goliath was pretty remarkable. Despite planning to use post to scale him up to 12 foot tall we wanted to cast someone that felt huge. Jason was legitementally a real giant standing at 7ft 2in.
