Execution

TV1000 broadcast erotic movies on TV to the entire Scandinavian audience, i.e. to Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Because of the legal situation described above, the TV stations have to place a censorship blocker on the screen, covering up most - but not all - of the action to the Norwegian audience only. Our idea was to use the censorship blocker as a media to put out our message about where to go in order to avoid this kind of restrictions. The text simply reads "It's wonderful to be Norwegian - in Denmark".

Outcome

We honestly don't know the exact effect of the censorship blocker campaign. What we do know is that Visit Denmark reached an all time high in number of Norwegian visitors last season. The concept has been extremely popular for a decade, much because of bold activities like this one.
