Description
Digital is disrupting the field of education and is decoding the processes like the roles of Awareness generation, Access provision and Training provision. Which in case of traditional offline training programs, is the sole responsibility of school or university or an institute. Hence, when Fair & Lovely decided to launch the digital focused Skilling University, we ensured that it was a powerfully integrated platform offering and covering wide range of courses of career guidance, online courses and information on job opportunities.
Execution
An “always on” and with high SOV plan on Google, covering on keywords relating to Career Guidance, Online courses, and vocational training helped us interact with intent driven audience. We targeted 23 Million of core Female audience between age 18-24 with inspirational communication to create her own identity. We strategically targeted important days like Women’s day with special communication to boost their confidence and latch on the topical content. Through the foundation, Fair & Lovely became a mentor to over 0.3 Million women who wanted to create their own identity, by providing them digital courses to enhance their skills, guiding on job opportunities and help them become achieve their dreams.
Outcome
Campaign reach 16Mn females
Over 0.3 Million females registered
70% of them have enrolled in the courses
Total time spent on the website is 7 hours (that is 12 mins per person and is equal to industry average 50% of time spent on Facebook)
The Cost per consumer was reduced to 4$ with 10X reach offered vs on ground scholarship
Fair & Lovely Foundation’s initiative has contributed to Government of India’s Skill India Mission and fulfil the ambitious women’s empowerment goals of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), aligned to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality.
Most Importantly we realized that poor access to skill-based training courses is a key reason for women’s lower participation in the workforce in India. Through Fair & Lovely Foundation website we are addressing multiple barriers to access including distance, time and cost.
