Baseball in America is a 145-year love story. That truth and Chevy’s long-time partnership with Major League Baseball served as the inspiration for this spot. Narrated by James Earl Jones’s famous “People will come” monologue from the movie Field of Dreams, this ode to baseball highlights the game’s timelessness and its ability to connect the generations.
The spot includes famous players and moments, some of which are much bigger than baseball. Like Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier as the league’s first Black player. And Lou Gehrig’s “Luckiest man on the face of the Earth” speech. And when Hank Aaron passed Babe Ruth as the all-time homerun leader. The spot also includes people from all walks of life enjoying the same game as these bigger-than-life legends.
The result is a celebration of Chevy’s relationship with Major League Baseball through a combination of nostalgia and optimism for a brighter tomorrow.
