Description
In Turkey, gastronomy travel is quite frequent. Many stuck in the urban metropolitans believe that local dishes can only be authentic and properly enjoyed if eaten in its originating city. With this insight, we paired up with Turkey’s largest online food order portal Yemeksepeti.com. We retargeted users based on their culinary choice on Yemeksepeti and showed them banners telling that their favorite meal, made authentically would cost a few dollars.
Execution
Every yemeksepeti.com customer frequented with one of our google display banners right after leaving the online food order portal and he/she continued to see our banners with every site he/she entered during 48 hours. Because we matched the flight destinations with the most ordered 30 authentic foods, the users frequented personalized messages. For example, if a yemeksepeti.com customer ordered pizza, he/she saw the promotion banner for Roma destination. We executed the campaign for both domestic and international food and flights.
Outcome
More than 5 million users were shown the banners. Traffic to flypgs.com, the online sales website of the airlines, increased by %70.
