Description

We created 2 versions of a short film which uses “eye sight” to symbolize “love.” It depicts how we usually realize what we overlooked when we are about to lose it. In this case, the main actor’s eye sight and his love.

Towards the end of the film, the mechanic is revealed that the more views the video gets, the clearer this film will be. After reaching the view target, the audience will be able to see this film with greater clarity, along with many other people as every view is also changed into donations to help cataract patients. Viewers are invited to join in and donate.

Execution

We use the “eye sight” to symbolize “love” through a short film. It reflects the aspects of love from two different sides, one from a guy who’s going blind and the other from the girl who has seen things so painful she wants to go blind. The film gets the audiences to think if your vision is blurry, will your feelings be blurry too?

We let the audience experience the vision of the cataract patients from the shots from the main actor’s perspective. We make them all blurry, as if the audiences are seeing things through his eyes—like they, too, are going blind.

We end the film with an emotional conclusion that leaves the audience questioning whether their love will come into focus or be forever blurred. After the film gets the targeted number of views, the unblurred version of the film is released.

Outcome

Within 5 days, the film and campaign content reached up to 17 million and the film is viewed more than 7 million times with more than 408,185 engagements.

USD 114,837 Earned Media was gained.

The film was talked about on social media so much that the campaign name ranked #1 on Twitter trend in Thailand.

Various contents and topics were generated by famous Facebook pages and consumers about the film.

Focus Screen Protector Brand Love skyrocketed, increasing by more than 200%.
