Music is such a critical element in storytelling, and can really change the feeling of a spot, so it was a huge priority to find the right track and we ended up putting dozens of options up against picture. We had three criteria when selecting the music:
• We needed a song that conveyed the feeling of falling in love at first sight yet also had a bittersweet element to capture the feeling of being kept apart when you want so much to be together.
• We wanted to avoid holiday-themed music to stand apart from the other content that would be launching at that time.
• Air Canada always wants to promote Canadian talent so our final criteria was to search up-and-coming local artists.
