Execution

With the goal of promoting the launch of a new game in the God of War saga, we developed a contest that awarded the winner with an invaluable reward: the chance of voicing one of the game’s characters, having your voice immortalised in the game. In the God of Voice contest, humans faced Zeus for the chance of achieving such reward. Fans went through Athena’s training before being face to face with Zeus and recording a war cry. The promotion of the campaign was also supported by important players in the Brazilian games’ market: Jovem Nerd and Mundo Canibal.

Outcome

The MTV Games inserts reached almost one million viewers, supporting the online communication that used Facebook and Jovem Nerd’s and Mundo Canibal’s YouTube channels. The numbers from the campaign were impressive. After three games, we achieved:

- 59,000 avatars created with Kratos’ face;

- 13,000 people cleaned Kratos’ sword;

- 14,000 people threw balm in the eye of the Cyclops;

- 3,000 new fans in the PlayStation page;

- 9,000 shares;

- 4,000 people took part in the contest;

Thanks to this, the buzz was inevitable. The contest was mentioned spontaneously by some of the most expressive specialised websites.
