It had been 8 years since the last time a balloon flew over São Paulo. It’s something really hard to do. You need a bunch of authorizations and the wind conditions have to be just perfect. The fact that we succeed to put the balloon in the air is already a great victory.
Outcome
The online community became completely aware of Google Maps Brazil. We had several posts on blogs and a 3 minutes piece on Fantástico, Brazil’s main Sunday television program and the most expensive minute on Brazillian television. If Google were to pay for that, it would’ve costed them a million dollars.
