Burger King France launches a tribute to the iconic “Back to the Future” Movie and Marty McFly by creating the first tray that defies the laws of gravity: the HOVERTRAY!
With the HOVERTRAY, you’ll never have to carry your tray again! Plus, you can even enjoy your meal if you can’t find a seat! The HOVERTRAY is the future and it’s only in Burger King. And when you can seat, is it pointless? Totally, but it’s cool…
Execution
The film has been launched on October, 21st to maximize the impact. We have been able to do that because the content was more ambitious than what almost all the other brands did, so we knew that it was going to emerge.
It has been launched both in French (for the French market) and on English to use the noise around this international event on our benefit.
We sent to influencers an old fashioned letter, as it has been sent from the past, announcing the launch of the Hovertray, and of the movie explaining how it works.
Outcome
With less than 15000 $ invested in media, so almost nothing and just with the social and PR enthousiasm, we achieved massive results:
- More than 5,4 million views on our video
- 230 media impressions all around the world
- More than 34 000 shares on social networks
And above 54 million contacts reached who wonder if we really produced our Hovertray. A lot of them even asked us on our Facebook page how can they buy their own one.
