The casting process has two parts. Firstly finding the hero.

He was supposed to be Swedish, with a «Värmland» accent, but we decided he could also be Danish or Norwegian, and did a casting in all three countries with multiple casters. We had two in Sweden, three in Norway and one in Denmark. After two rounds of wide casting we did a callback with our director, and he instantly fell in love with the lead actor.

The other actors in the films have also been cast through multiple casting companies, and in a combination of street casting and «normal» casting. In the street casting we have been looking for non - actors with interesting and funny faces. For the first round of films we have actors from Norway, Sweden and Denmark in the films as supporting roles. In the second part we have only Norwegians.
