Execution

The use of a 360º interactive film that is in motion, is the quintessential technique for a football. It immersed the viewer within an inanimate object. Albeit an object that will be the most watched football of all time. The learning from this project will be applied to future endeavors finding more ways to connect viewers to the storytelling that they are watching.

Outcome

The result was a one of kind interactive experience that only adidas could create. Allowing viewers to be dribbled, passed and shot by some of world’s greatest footballers and putting them (and the Brazuca) at the center of the story. For a football that will be at the center of all the action on the pitches of Brazil it was perfect use of a new way or storytelling. Additional hidden films told the Brazuca story even further. The hybrid of film and interactivity worked seamlessly, all within a typical YouTube player.
