Description
In 2007, IBM discovered a new generation of developers who were taking advantage of the open-source architecture within Second Life to create their own objects, games and worlds. For this group, we created IBM Codestation, a branded meeting place within Second Life offering programmable robots, a library of open-source code, amaze game, and multi-stage adventure game. For experience, we worked closely with Linden Labs (creators of Second Life) to develop complex challenges that took players across the Second Life world, in a competition that ultimately drew over 1000 developers, with 50% of them returning for multiple stages of play
