Inkable is integrated with a user’s native camera application, camera roll, and Facebook and Instagram feeds. Users can add filters, drawings and personalized messages on top of the image. Whenever someone wants to Ink something, HP’s cloud server is behind the scenes like a master puppeteer, controlling the Inkable network, uploading Inks, sending notifications to the iOS and Android devices of Inkable recipients, and giving printers around the world a connection to your world. The technology stack consists of Node.js and a combination of Reddis and mysql on Linux.

The next goal of the app is to scale to over a million wireless printers within the first year. Upcoming are features such as messaging and editing tools, launching Inkable was just the first step.
