OVERVIEW

Description

The ad aims to educate and excite viewers about Sony’s new Internet TV. It tells the story via voiceover of the development of television, right from the first black and white set, through to the internet and then onto the culmination of both these technologies, the internet TV. The action takes place in a multi-storey building. The viewer is moved up the building from room to room. The rooms represent the various decades from the early 50s through to 2011. The content and action in the rooms demonstrate the development of television and the internet, and the benefits and limitations that each of these technologies offered. The top of the building represents the ultimate television – one that combines both TV and internet features - the best of all worlds – High Definition, 3D experience and apps for all the content that you might want. At the end of the ad you pan out to see all the rooms in one place – the whole journey from bottom to top. We then finish on a product shot that shows the multiuse of the internet TV.
