ACE COMBAT 5 features extremely dynamic and genuine flight simulations. In order to highlight this feature, an air sickness bag was used as product packaging. Timed with the release date (23/03/2005) the wrapping and game could be found immediately at the Point-of-Sale.
Outcome
A total of 12,500 air sickness bags were produced and distributed to big electronic hardware dealers like SATURN and MEDIA MARKT. 9,300 games were sold on the release date alone. Within three days all games with our special package design were completely sold out.
