Description
A rich media banner extended the iPod nano TV spot online. Music fans were given a unique opportunity to grab hold of the nano and create their own animations. After playing with their favourite colour, visitors were invited to learn more on Apple.com.
Execution
With the infectious Cut Chemist track driving it, the commercial energized the idea of color as self-expression, with all five nanos carving their own signature.Simultaneously, a visually inspiring print ad of all five colors appeared in print publications, out of home, on bus boards, wild postings and billboards across the world.We extended the TV spot online, creating a media banner that allowed people to grab hold of the nano and make their own animations, using the same graffiti-style technique.Since the campaign celebrated color as self-expression, we then did a first for Apple, creating profiles for all five iPod nano colors on MySpace, the biggest online community.
