Description

ITALY. THE EXTRAORDINARY COMMONPLACE is a video promoting Italy’s manufacturing excellence and showing its real place in the world economy. The idea of the video is to turn stereotyped attitudes of Italy around.

A country of pizza makers? Look instead at Italy’s 1000 major infrastructure projects in 90 countries. A land of Latin lovers? Italy has the world’s fifth largest trade surplus in manufactured goods. A nation of happy-go-lucky children? Italy was the third country in the world to launch a satellite into orbit.

The idea is to generate a new understanding about Italy that goes beyond the clichés and acknowledges the country's excellences other than the best-known ones of fashion and design.
