Description

Could something as American as delicious Kraft Mac & Cheese make someone “less Latino”? Of course not. Enjoying Kraft Mac & Cheese won’t make you or your family lose any of their Hispanic traditions.In Realizacion, a boy observes his large Latino family and comes to the realization that nothing could make his family any less Latino despite what his mother thinks.

Execution

Each day for two weeks, a different last name was chosen, and everyone on Facebook with that name was invited to join the reunion and get a free box of Mac & Cheese for their family. All they had to do was verify their last name through Facebook at NoodleReunion.com. At the end of the two weeks, Kraft invited everyone to the reunion, making Facebook into one big, happy, Mac & Cheese-loving family.

Outcome

Over the course of two weeks, Noodle Reunion brought over 21,000 families together through their love for Mac & Cheese. But it generated interest well beyond people getting free Mac & Cheese, too. NoodleReunion.com had nearly 200,000 visitors, checking if their last name was chosen and learning more about the reunion. Noodle Reunion also prompted thousands of posts from Facebook members promoting each chosen last name, telling friends about the promotion, and asking Kraft to choose their last name next. Actual sales figures are confidential, but the promotion did have a significant impact on the number of boxes sold.
