Overview

Background

In the United States, regularly leaving work unexpectedly can jeopardize employment, especially when client relationships and productivity are negatively impacted.

This sets the emotional tone of the film and underscores the psychological dilemma of the main character.

Execution

The film tells the story of the seemingly strained relationship between a father and daughter over a fragile bit of technology—a mobile phone. Over the course of the film, the viewer comes to understand that the “broken” device represents so much more than just a phone—it holds the cherished, last voicemail of their beloved family member who died of a cardiovascular event.

The film ends by informing physicians that this story is actually quite common for patients with type 2 diabetes. A final call to action urges physicians to do more for their patients and drives to the JARDIANCE website to learn more about a lifesaving cardiovascular benefit.
