Description
Each year more than 6 million children die due to lack of healthcare.
230 million children live in conflict zones. Nearly half of the refugees from these regions are minor.
Poverty also has serious consequences. 40% of patients seen by Doctors of the World in Greece are minor. Among them, 8 out of 10 are in food insecurity and 9 out of 10 are in a situation of poor-housing.
Doctors of the World wanted to raise awareness on this unacceptable situation and raise donations to help children around the world.
In recent years, we have seen a whole lot of fundraising campaigns with disturbing pictures, often including children, using guilty feelings as a call to action. But people tend to get used to those pictures and insensitive to these questions.
We had to stand out, appealing to people's intelligence rather than their sense of guilt.
