We gave everyday life a comic book feel. Using site specific stickers, we found familiar objects – pay phones, building alarms, toilets, etc – and gave them over-the-top sound effects like those found in comic books. Stickers were placed in areas around the stores - on the street as well as in nearby bars and restaurants.
Outcome
Traffic to the stores and website ticked up while stickers were up in fall/winter.Helped bring awareness of the stores during the Spiderman/Obama comic book release - the lines for which wrapped around the block and were featured on local evening news.
