Description
Introducing “IDEAL CITY" from HSBC France. The only app that helps you find places where your dreams can come true. Forget all you think you know about France, and discover the perfect place for you, based on data.
We studied what people valued when thinking of a new place : education, health, surroundings, leisure, accessibility of the area and its economic potential.
So we digged and identified open-data related to the topics that people actually valued to evaluate every square meter of France against them. Every single one of the 36 000 towns was profiled and scored. We applied machine learning on the entire data set to refine our model.
When using the app, users put in their own wishes, and the app matches them with the places that best fit.
The app even allows couples to fill in to match each spouse's wishes.

The app was initialy launched in France and is now considered for localisation in 20 more countries (Europe and America).
Outcome
35 000 downloads in the first month
More people are now closer to making their dreams come true, living just where they should.
Dreams need funding:
23% of users got in contact with HSBC for a mortgage subscription directly from the app.
13 of the biggest French media (e.g. Le Monde, TF1, ELLE) spread the word to the general public.
