Description

The Original Monsters Puppet.

Execution

This motion picture was created by filming puppets of the 12 originally-designed monsters frame-by-frame by tracking movements of professional dancers. A program that automatically replaces the face of a monster with users’ face on selfie allows a visual expression that looks as if users were transformed into a monster.

Outcome

This “Virtual Halloween Party,” where people could instantly join, attracted all kinds of people ?no matter how shy or lazy they may be. At the Halloween night, a special movie featuring real consumers was played on a large outdoor screen in Shibuya. People literally made a toast together online and offline at the site, over the time and place.

The Halloween limited edition bottles with a ‘monster’s mask’ became so popular that they flew off shelves. The campaign increased “Smirnoff Ice™” sales by 21% from the previous year.
