Background
This is a story about a woman who nurtured a neighborhood with
the same care and purpose that she nurtured her car…and how that
neighborhood, in turn became to cherish her.
Epic, moving, unforgettable, this was Chevrolet's annual Holiday Card to America.
It’s based on a true story and meant to feel like we are witness to it
happening in real-time. It’s deep with all the emotions that come with love,
caring and the memories that are imprinted on our souls.
Execution
From the colourist: This was a really special opportunity for me. I have been a big fan of both the director and the DP for a while now. We spent some time exchanging emails about the pre-production ideas surrounding look development for the shoot. The director was able to come in and spend a day with me exploring some of the more emotional subtleties of the grade and we leaned into the beautiful images that the DP was able to produce. We were able to find, what I feel, is a modern look into the future, through a nostalgic lens of the past, or something like that.
