Capture the magic of a person’s first moment with a new piece of technology, transforming it into a lasting memory with a loved one.
Idea
Invite select homeowners to participate in a video for professional installation education, filming close to Father’s Day. Using the elements of surprise and delight, Nest then turned these in-home product demos into surprise family reunions celebrating the often overlooked holiday.
Execution
These homeowners thought they were giving testimonials about their new Nest Hello. But instead, we brought a daughter home from college to drop in on her dad. We reunited a father with his son who felt extra sentimental about the holiday after becoming a father himself. And we even arranged it so a father who lives far away could see his son’s house for the very first time. Visitors traveled a combined total of over 3,000 miles to reunite in celebration of Father’s Day ultimately showcasing how we could transform a simple daily action into a memorable connection.
