Breaking News Alerts offered near real-time SMS messages whenever key events broke. Each SMS message would feature a headline and a summary of the breaking news. One could tailor the extent of these excerpts based on their interests.Question of the Day was essentially a daily poll where a topical question would be posed. Both questions and results would then be aired on CNN’s morning news segment and to subscribers via their mobile phones.
Outcome
Mid-way research showed that this buy achieved awareness scores of 76% for CNN Mobile and its services, 92% recognized Nokia as a leader in mobile communications and the response for Question of the Day for example, had exceeded initial estimates of above 500 unique votes a day!
