Description
An interactive theater spectacular to celebrate the release of Blizzard’s newest Hearthstone Adventure: One Night in Karazhan.
Execution
We fully fabricated seven rooms from the ground up– transforming a loft space in downtown Los Angeles into a mystically groovy tower to put on an interactive theater spectacular– all to be experienced by hundreds of thousands of fans across both Twitch and FB Live.
With a cast of over 15 actors performing a combination of improv, character acting, and interactive hosting, our evening offered a multitude of interactive experiences. The Opera House hosted multiple performances throughout the night, a playable life-sized chess board whose pieces had sprung to life lived in Gamesman’s Hall, while the Grand Ballroom held a full sized disco dance floor complete with disco ball.
Outcome
In the end, it took a 54-foot long scroll, 48 of Medivh’s family photos, 342 candles, 3 suits of armor, and 65 raven feathers to fabricate seven rooms from the ground up and transform a loft space in downtown Los Angeles into a mystical tower.

But it’s not the fabricated props or the web stream stats we’re most proud of. We invited the most hardcore ‘seen it all before’ gamers to our party, and we still managed to exceed every expectation of what a Hearthstone experience can be. Now that’s some real magic.
