Description

Owning a Porsche is an act of love and commitment.

So why would owning a Porsche with friends be any different?

Porsche Marriage is a radical proposal to friends all over The Netherlands: Would you marry your friends for a Porsche?

A challenge we launched to promote the new Share a Porsche service, proving how far people were willing to go for a Porsche.

A proof of commitment only a brand like Porsche could ask for.

Execution

In April 2016, we launched an activation to promote Porsche’s first ever car sharing service.

‘Porsche Marriage’ kicked off with a teaser video featuring a priest asking viewers: “Would you marry your friends for a Porsche?”

The teaser video gave viewers two options (Yes and No). Those who dared to click ‘yes’ were directed to our porschemarriage site, where the priest guided them through the group marriage arrangements:

First, inviting three best friends to marry; then, signing a prenuptial agreement; finally, sharing their engagement on social media.

Following an extensive research, we found the perfect place to marry them: Kinnaur, the only region in the world where group marriage is an old tradition.

Once the activation phase finished, we selected the winners from over 1.600 participants.

Finally, on the 25th of September 2016, four Dutch friends got officially married in Kinnaur, receiving a Porsche 911 to share happily ever after.

Outcome

Porsche Marriage proved how far groups of friends were willing to go for a Porsche:

Over 15.000 users visited porschemarriage.nl only on the first week.

From the total number of visitors, 12% participated in the whole process.

Turning into 1,646 marriage proposals and over 400 groups of friends willing to get married in Kinnaur for a Porsche.
