Porsche re-entered endurance racing at the top level in 2014. Audi – champion at the time – produced a commercial clip with the message „welcome back“. In the story of this clip this message is written on the tarmac in front of the main Porsche headquarters via a drifting Audi race car.

When Audi left endurance racing unexpectedly in 2016, Porsche took up the old Audi spot from 2014 and continued its story. A farmer on the road, also featured in the old sport, hears about Audi’s exit on the radio. He decides to wish them farewell, so he interrupts his work, drives to the main Porsche headquarters, where the tarmac is still covered with „Welcome back“. He gets off his tractor and starts scrubbing the tarmac. At the end we see the result: he has removed certain letters and the message now spells „Come Back”.
