Background
In 2019, Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 and offered a new feature to users: Wireless Power Share, a technology that allows the Galaxy S10 to lend its battery to charge other smartphones and devices. We needed to highlight that innovation in an informative and impressive way, getting people to understand and be amazed by this new way of recharging phones.
Strategy
Our goal was to promote the new Galaxy S10 and its innovative Wireless Power Share to as many people as possible. We found the perfect stage for this in the Corinthians Arena, one of the largest and most modern stadiums in Brazil. The activation delivered our message in an educational way and through a surprising experience. When the stadium lights came back on, everyone had understood how the Power Share System works.
Execution
The activation took place during two big games at Arena Corinthians, and was broadcast live to millions of people on TV.
05/26/2019 – Corinthians vs. São Paulo (one of the greatest rivalries of the country)
09/01/2019 – Corinthians vs. Atlético Mineiro (on Corinthians' 109th anniversary)
Outcome
The activation impacted more than 80,000 fans live, at the stadium. But the results were even greater outside the stadium: 11 million people were reached by the TV broadcast and the buzz on social media.
