Description
This digital branded entertainment was planned to reach a worldwide audience.
Execution
Hangouts is not just a video chat tool but a tool of Remote Presence.
In order to be recognized Google Hangouts as the communication tool of the future, we developed a system of Remote Presence by integrating the video chat application with the physical art installation.
As users started the Hangouts app, they were synced to "Remote Romance" at Araki’s exhibition.
They explored around the midnight museum remotely, yet freely
and had fun looking at and actually getting their hands on the exhibited artworks.
This was done through live streaming all over the world.
Outcome
It was a huge hit.
Free publicity worth 3 million dollars was gained.
Fans from over 100 countries worldwide experienced the communication of the future with Hangouts.
With technology and freedom of soul,
We can go anywhere we want with no limits.
