Atomic Candy is a quirky, quaint, old-fashioned candy store. It’s the kind of place where old things are new, and unusual, nostalgic and weird are the norm. And their vast selection of candy begs to be explored.

Keeping with the shop’s retro, sci-fi sensibilities, we decided to tell the story of a seemingly normal young man with a mutation so strangely delicious, that it could have been pulled straight from the pages of any pulp comic book from the atomic age.

We wanted to bring together the two elements that make Atomic Candy great: Atomic Age nostalgia and copious candy consumption. The result was this homage to the great science fiction comics from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

With a quirky TV commercial targeted at a core group of consumers in a college town, via Comedy Central and MTV, Atomic Candy has seen a steady rise in awareness and sales. Oversized posters are prominently displayed in the store's windows. They have served well to attract the large groups of people visiting the historic Denton Downtown Square, where they’re located.
